It Takes a Village…

It Takes a Village…

It is possible to be a successful entrepreneur working on your own to achieve your success but the journey of running your own small business can be made easier, smoother and much more satisfying when you have a support network. Running a business can be very isolating, so it is important for your personal welfare to have other people to talk to and share experiences, highs and lows with.

Your support network can include family, friends, colleagues, a mentor and anyone else who could help you navigate roadblocks. This type of external support system can be an excellent way to stay on track, find new opportunities and share your success. If entering a new industry it can be very difficult to break through into the inner circle – so finding mentors and supporters who introduce you into the sector can be hugely beneficial.

How do you find mentors? You probably have people around you already who could help and support you, or they may know someone. Don’t be afraid to ask people to help or make introductions to other people they know – they are usually honored to be asked.

Passion has put you on the path to starting a successful small business, but once you combine your passion with a supp0ortive network, you can truly become an unstoppable force. So find or make your village!
